Band Photography – Shezbot

I have been a little quiet on the blog recently, mostly due to having a lot of photography projects over the past few weeks in addition to getting quite sick at the same time. I have also invested in some new equipment which is being put through some rigorous testing, but more on this later.

One of my recent projects was a photography shoot for a Sydney band Shezbot. They are just about to release a new single and wanted a quick promo photo which we decided to do at the rehearsal studio that they use. With the Fujinon 18-55mm zoom, I used the natural perspective distortion to try to equalise the fairly extreme differences in height between band members. Failing this, I opted to seat them on a sofa out in the main lobby and do it the easy way instead!

They were a fantastic group to work with and have a very unique prog rock style. Check them out on Facebook or Triple J Unearthed to hear the new single.
